From a Jail Cell to a God-Given Mission 🙏✝️
Sixteen years ago, I was sitting in a jail cell with nothing but time, a Bible, and a journal.
In that place, I began reading the Word, writing in my journal, praying, and surrendering myself to the leading of the Holy Spirit. It was there, in a place I never imagined I would be, that God put something on my heart.
He gave me a vision to give hope to troubled youth through detailing.
At the time, I couldn't see how it would ever happen. I didn't have all the answers. I didn't know what the future would look like. But I wrote it down, held onto it, and trusted that if it was truly from God, He would open the doors in His timing.
Sixteen years later, I'm sitting in a Christian Chamber of Commerce meeting, and I'm watching that vision begin to become reality.
Everything is moving forward with transitioning from a for-profit business into a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, creating an opportunity to use detailing as a vehicle to reach troubled youth with something much greater than a skill.
Hope. Purpose. Accountability. Restoration.
Because this isn't really about detailing cars.
It's about people.
It's about young men and women who may feel forgotten, rejected, angry, lost, or without direction—and showing them that their past doesn't have to determine their future.
I know what it means to need hope.
And I know what it means to have God meet you in a place where you thought your story was over.
Looking back, I can see that God was planting the seed sixteen years ago. I just had to be willing to surrender, listen, write it down, and eventually step out in obedience.
Today, I'm watching doors open that no man could have opened.
I'm not taking credit for any of it.
God gave me the vision.
The Holy Spirit has guided the mission.
And obedience has brought me to this moment.
I'm humbled beyond words and incredibly grateful.
I don't know everything God is going to do through this mission, but I know this:
If He put it on my heart, I'm going to follow Him.
From a jail cell, with a Bible and a journal, to a Christian Chamber of Commerce meeting where the vision is becoming a reality...
Only God could write a story like this.
